Saundra’s Cleaning Service has been in business for 37 years. Same owner, same town, same standards.
We’re woman-owned and family-run, based in Independence, and we clean homes and businesses across the eastern Kansas City metro. We’re not a franchise. There’s no call center, no regional manager, and no script. When you call, you’re talking to the people who do the work.
Saundra’s story
In 1989, Saundra was home with two young kids. She’d been an interior designer, and left it when her second child was born.
One spring she cleaned her own house top to bottom. Not a quick pass. The whole thing. When she finished and looked around, she thought she could do this for other people.
That was the business plan.
She put her youngest in a stroller, walked the neighborhoods, and handed out flyers. Then she ran ads in the local papers in Independence, Raytown, Lee’s Summit, and Blue Springs. She took out a Yellow Pages listing too. Work came in, and it kept coming.
One house a day became two. Then four. Then more than she could do alone, so she hired people and trained them herself. She didn’t get a website until the phone books and the papers stopped mattering.
Thirty-seven years later, she’s still here. Same town, same name, same owner.
She hasn’t run it alone for a long time. Her mother has been with her 26 years, and still writes the Christmas cards and thank-you notes that go out to customers. Her husband has run the office for the last five. Her daughter and her grandson work here too. Four generations, one business.
Today she runs two teams of two, and sometimes three teams at once. She still comes to see the place herself before the first clean. If she hasn’t seen it, she doesn’t know what she’s walking into.

Who’s coming into your home
This is the part most people actually want to know about.
Everyone on our team is background-checked, vetted, and trained before they work in a customer’s home. Many have been with us for years.
We can’t promise the exact same person on every single visit. Routes and schedules change, and we’d rather tell you that than promise something we can’t hold to. What we can promise is that whoever walks through your door has been vetted by us, trained by us, and works to the same standard.

Eco-friendly products where we can. Not a marketing angle. Just what we use when there’s a good option.
Pet-friendly products on request. Tell us you have animals and we’ll adjust.
Flexible scheduling. Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or one time. No minimum commitment.
We bring everything. You don’t buy supplies.
You don’t have to be home. Plenty of our customers aren’t.
